Sewage spill cleaned-up at Hartwig Road in Wodonga

North East Water staff have cleaned up a small sewage spill caused by tree roots that blocked a sewer main in Wodonga.
The spill occurred on Hartwig Road on Monday 9 August 2021 which made its way through the storm water system to Pearce Street.
The blockage has now been rectified, with operations crews also flushing and disinfecting the spill location.
People are advised to avoid the spill site for several days, and abide by nearby barricading and signage.
The Environment Protection Authority has been notified of the spill.
