Sewage spill on the corner of Finch and Williams Streets, Beechworth

North East Water crews have completed the clean-up of a sewage spill in Beechworth that occurred in the morning of Monday, 21 August.
The spill occurred from a manhole on the corner of Finch and Williams Streets and entered the stormwater drain, following a blockage in the sewer main.
The spill has now ceased. North East Water crews have completed repair works to remove the blockage and clean the site.
The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has been notified of the event.
