Pre-construction meeting   

Purpose

To meet on-site with relevant representatives from North East Water, the Consultant and contractor(s) to discuss how the project will be managed and delivered. Discussion should include any issues of concern, hold points and project parameters.  

Key topics for consideration

  • Have any concerns been discussed with the consultant?
  • Does the contractor/consultant have the current accepted design plan?
  • Are works involving installation of a sewer or water main being undertaken by a North East Water Accredited Contractor?
  • Have hold points been established?
  • Has construction methodology been discussed?
  • Has the construction timeframe been established?
  • Have points of contact for the consultant and contractor been provided?

Our role

  • Liaise with the Consultant or Developer to schedule a Pre-Construction meeting
  • Review, discuss and resolve (if possible) relevant issues and items on the Pre-Construction Meeting Checklist at the onsite meeting
  • Provide a copy of the completed checklist to the Consultant or Developer
  • Begin site audits once construction has commenced.
