Sewer pipe inspections

We are responsible for maintaining and improving the sewer network across north-east Victoria. Our contractor, Rangedale, will be inspecting different areas to ensure they are working efficiently.

What type of work are we doing?

Our contractor will be carrying out maintenance on the local sewer network. This work involves jet cleaning and CCTV inspections of sewer mains.

What do you need to do?

If you've been sent an SMS or a letter notifying you of planned maintenance work on the sewer network near your property, make sure your toilet lid is down on the specified day and between the hours of 8am-5pm. Place a heavy object (over 2kg) on the lid. This will help to prevent any blow back that can sometimes occur with jetting works. You may hear gurgling noises coming from your toilet during the works.

Please contact Rangedale on 1300 019 418 immediately if blow back occurs causing a spill.

Access to your property

If your property has a sewer access point (which typically looks like a round concrete lid), contractors may need access to your yard for 1-2 hours. Contractors will follow all physical distancing rules.
