Drinking water quality results

We regularly report on water quality results from across our region.

The Safe Drinking Water Act 2003 requires all Victorian Water Corporations to implement a monitoring program to ensure safe drinking water and protect public health.

Each year, we conduct over 52,000 laboratory tests at over 550 sites for nearly 300 different parameters. Sample sites are located from ‘catchment to tap’ and include waterways, storages, water treatment plants, tanks and reticulation sites. Sites in the reticulation make up the majority of the sampling program and are typically located at customer taps throughout the region.
