General day to day duties
- Emergency repairs on water and wastewater pipes and assets.
- Scheduled maintenance on water and wastewater pipes and assets.
- Monitoring and maintenance of sewer pump stations.
- Water meter inspections, readings, and repairs.
- Inspection of assets.
- Completion of electronic work orders and data entry.
- Ordering and collecting parts and materials.
- Basic site and ground maintenance.
- Other duties as required.
This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.
You will be part of our ‘Benalla’ reticulation team that services from Benalla up through to Goorambat, Devenish and St James, and support other teams in the Reticulation West area as needed.
In this role you will have access to a diverse range of learning opportunities, allowing you to expand your knowledge and skills in the field of reticulation + the opportunity to undertake a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations!
Key Selection Criteria
To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:
- Understanding of and/or experience in asset (such as pipes and pumps) and equipment monitoring and maintenance.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to conduct system checks, complete electronic work orders and input information.
- Understanding of and/or experience in the maintenance of water and sewer networks, is desirable but not required.
- Licence or competency in the use of excavation equipment, is not required but a willingness to obtain is essential.
- Current Medium Rigid Drivers licence is desirable but not required (willingness to obtain is essential).
