Position Information

Salary
  • $104,078 to $116,623 plus 12% superannuation, depending on skills and experience
Hours per week
  • Full time, ongoing - Monday to Friday with a monthly RDO and flexible working options available.

  • Primarily based in Regional Headquarters in Wodonga.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Candidates must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a foreign national with authorisation to work in Australia
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

The Team Leader Risk and Resilience leads and provides direction for North East Water’s risk and resilience function including security, emergency and risk management.

This position plays a vital role in developing, implementing and maintaining our Risk Management Framework, Emergency Management and Business Continuity Framework, and security posture to protect our critical infrastructure.

This role is a full-time opportunity, including a monthly RDO and a range of flexible work options.

 

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management:
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining our Risk Management Framework.
  • Coordinating the development and monitoring of our enterprise, material and corporate level risks.
  • Preparation of risk reporting for management, Board and government agencies.
  • Coordinating risk assessment and evaluation processes across the business in accordance with the Risk Management Framework.
  • Acting as an advisor regarding risk matters affecting the organisation and supporting projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (Cth), including developing, implementing and maintaining a risk management program that complies with the Act.
Emergency Management:
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining our Emergency Management and Business Continuity Framework.
  • Supporting and maintaining our emergency response and recovery processes.
  • Coordinating the annual review of the Emergency Management Plan and subsequent action plans.
  • Coordinating the annual emergency and resilience management exercise.
  • Coordinating the development of business continuity plans and critical infrastructure reviews.
  • Providing specialist advice and support to Incident Management and Crisis Management Teams.
Security:
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining a security posture to protect our infrastructure, including physical security controls, detection and response arrangements.
  • Leading our security capital works program and providing support to stakeholders in provision of physical security outcomes.
  • Acting as an advisor regarding security matters affecting the organisation and supporting projects.
  • Supporting business units in improving site and personal security.
  • Administering security control software, including monitoring and analysis of alarm notifications and incidents and maintaining contracts with security service providers.

Key Selection Criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in risk management, emergency management or a relevant business field.
  2. Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management, business continuity or emergency management in a complex organisational environment.
  3. Demonstrated experience in building the maturity and uplift in risk culture, and organisational resilience across diverse teams.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of reports for board and senior management.
  5. Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
