Salary $78,527 to $88,313 plus 11.5% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.

About the role

The Business Support Officer provides high level support to General Manager Planning and Infrastructure, Manager Planning and Liveability and the overall Planning and Infrastructure (P&I) business unit.

This role is a full-time opportunity until August 2025, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options. 

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide high level business support to the General Manager Planning and Infrastructure, Manager Planning and Liveability and the P&I team as required.
•    Prepare agendas, attend meetings, capture actions, and present the actions arising from previous meetings. 
•    Prepare and edit business reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board. 
•    Provide oversight of the drawings register, procurement approvals and approvals in Adobe Sign on behalf of the General Manager P&I and Manager Planning & Liveability.
•    Coordinate routine and project-based documentation.
•    Provide oversight of the P&I project management system including document register and performance reporting.
•    Prepare, gather information for and proofread reports as required.
•    Support the Managing Director’s office as required.

  • Well-developed computer skills encompassing the Microsoft Office suite, electronic document management systems and calendar-based applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate North East Waters mindsets of accountability, commitment, consistency, empathy and cooperation.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and requests, set priorities and plan and organise your work to achieve specific and set objectives in the most efficient way possible.
  • Experience in a similar role providing high level support and/or administrative assistance, including diary management and scheduling.
