About the role

The Maintenance Planning Officer will support North East Water's proactive risk based approach to asset management. You will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services, supervision of service level contracts, and developing, implementing and scheduling maintenance activities for facilities, systems and asset maintenance. This position is on a 12-month contract.

Key selection criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in Contract Management, Procurement and Facilities Management.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with demonstrated experience capturing and maintaining data within asset/maintenance management software systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively to achieve outcomes in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities and organise your own work to achieve targets and objectives.


Degree or Diploma with relevant work experience, or lesser formal qualifications and substantial relevant experience in Service Level Contract Management, Procurement and/or Facilities Management. A current drivers licence is essential for this position.
