About the role

The Debt Recovery Officer works collaboratively with the team in debt recovery management that will meet the Corporation’s needs and optimise customer outcomes. 

In this role you will be required to proactively contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding debt. 

The aim of the role is to:
•    Recover arrears.
•    Identify customers experiencing financial vulnerability.
•    Offer payment assistance alternatives.
•    Work within the support programs available.

This role is a full-time opportunity until late December 2024, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.

Key selection criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  • Excellent communication both on the telephone, face-to-face and written.
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment,
  • Understanding of financial impacts vulnerable customers may experience.
  • Experience with billing software and the Microsoft Suite programs.
  • Relevant experience in a customer service-oriented organisation and working within debt management and recovery function.
