Position Information

Salary
  • $65,028 to $75,160 plus 12% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
Hours per week
  • Full time, ongoing.
  • Monday to Friday with the general working hours of this position being 8:15am to 5pm with a 45-minute break.

  • Based in Regional Headquarters in Wodonga.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Candidates must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a foreign national with authorisation to work in Australia
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including a police check and/or pre-employment medical and functional testing where applicable.

 

Our Customer Information team is the first point of contact at North East Water for all customer enquiries. The Customer Information Consultant is responsible for resolving enquiries promptly and professionally via phone call, email and face-to-face, while promoting outstanding customer service to all customers and stakeholders.


This role is a full-time ongoing opportunity, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options. Hours of work for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:15am and 5pm with a 45-minute break. 

 

A snapshot of your day

  • Responding to customer enquiries over the phone, email and face-to-face.
  • Providing administrative and support services including but not limited to:
    • Change of ownership 
    • Tenancy
    • Billing
    • Banking
    • Information statements
  • Receiving, recording and monitoring high-risk activities undertaken by operational staff.
  • Ensuring timely entry of statistics and notes.
  • Collaborating with the team, supporting tasks and workloads. 
  • Assisting with reception functions and housekeeping as required.

Key Selection Criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  1. Ability to uphold confidentiality.
  2. Well-established time management skills with the ability to set priorities, plan and organise work efficiently to achieve specific deadlines.
  3. High level of interpersonal and communication skills with experience responding to customer enquiries on the telephone, face-to-face and written.
  4. Experience with the Microsoft suite of programs and a customer relationship management system and/or billing software is preferred.
  5. Relevant qualification with experience working in a customer service focused environment.
