Sewage spill cleaned up in Tangambalanga

North East Water has completed the clean-up of a sewage spill in Tangambalanga following heavy rainfall on 2 July 2026.
The spill occurred at Kiewa-Bonegilla Road, with wastewater entering a stormwater drain that discharged into nearby floodwaters associated with an unnamed waterway.
As a precaution, signage has been installed in the area and members of the public are advised to avoid contact with the affected area until further notice.
The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has been notified of the incident.
