Sewage spill cleaned up in Bright

North East Water has completed the clean-up of a minor sewage spill in Bright that occurred on Thursday 2 July 2026.
The spill originated from a sewer inspection point on Coronation Avenue and entered a nearby stormwater drain beneath the road. The wastewater pooled locally and was contained before it could travel further, allowing it to be collected and removed.
Remediation works have been completed, and the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has been notified.
