About the role

The Security and Emergency Management Officer supports North East Water to respond effectively to emergency and security events and empowers employees to meet stakeholder emergency management and security requirements. 

In this role you’ll facilitate business engagement with security and emergency management practices through training, education and consultation with stakeholders and government agencies.

Key selection criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of emergency management and working with emergency response and support agencies (essential).
  • Strong computer literacy including a working knowledge of Microsoft, internet and email applications (essential).
  • Experience in project management and delivery (essential).
  • Formal qualifications in emergency management (desirable).
  • Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders (desirable).
  • Demonstrated capacity in emergency management planning, training and exercising (desirable).
