No change for Wodonga customers

North East Water has moved to remind its Wodonga and other Murray River customers that lawn watering was still not permitted under the current Stage 2 water restrictions.

The Corporation has received a number of calls from customers seeking to clarify what the restrictions mean following an announcement by Albury City Council that it was moving to Stage 2a water restrictions.

North East Water Executive Manager Business Services, John Morris, said nothing had changed for water users south of the border.

"Wodonga and our other Murray River towns remain on Stage 2 restrictions, and will do so until at least the end of November," he said.

"Under that level of restrictions, no lawn watering is permitted, and that is standard across Victoria."

In addition to the ban on lawn watering, Stage 2 restrictions restrict garden watering to certain hours on alternate days.  Further restriction details can be found here, or by phoning 1300 361 622.
