About the role

The successful applicant will be part of a team that ensures assets constructed on behalf of the Corporation meet the strategic planning and asset management requirements of the business and support our communities and regional growth. This will be done through:

  • Ensuring that development is appropriately planned and delivered in line with the Corporation’s strategic infrastructure planning;
  • Ensuring that current and future servicing needs are considered in consultation with developers;
  • Ensuring that suitable engineering solutions are implemented and that best value life cycle principles are considered;
  • Ensuring that constructed assets meet engineering standards; and
  • Ensuring appropriate quality controls are implemented to ensure compliance to construction quality and high levels of pre-commissioning cleanliness and hygiene that protects the Corporation’s current infrastructure.

Key selection criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  1. Diploma with relevant experience or industry specific qualification with substantial relevant experience.
  2. Experience in the auditing and administration of water and wastewater reticulation assets and associated documentation.
  3. Demonstrated experience in auditing of project works.
  4. Accountability to maintain documentation and ensure reporting systems remain current with respect to project related information.
  5. Sound knowledge of the Water Services Association (WSAA) Code and the Plumbing Industry code and associated legislation.
