About the role

The Manager Digital and Business Transformation carries responsibility for establishing and implementing a strategic approach to technology solutions across North East Water. This includes delivering business-enabling systems across the current and emerging needs of North East Water and our customers. The position requires expertise in all aspects of management in a business systems environment, coupled with strong strategic planning and execution, and project management experience.  The Manager Digital and Business Transformation will provide highly-valued leadership, as well as analytical, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. 


You will be a proven people leader with embedded experience managing ICT functions; with a strong focus on employee safety and wellbeing and a good understanding of the importance of legislative compliance, reporting and data analysis. You’ll be able to develop exceptional relationships, give and receive constructive feedback, provide excellent report writing and presentation capabilities and support your team in the delivery of organisational objectives.

Key selection criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  • A proven people leader with a strong focus on employee safety and wellbeing and the ability to develop exceptional internal and external stakeholder relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Experience with whole of business digital transformation.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with a good understanding of the importance of legislative compliance, reporting and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and continuous improvement that ensures the ICT function remains contemporary and future focused.
  • A formal qualification in Information Technology and substantial experience in a business systems environment at a senior level.
