About the role

The Farming Support Officer will support the Farming and Irrigation Coordinator to ensure the compliance of North East Water’s reuse sites and associated systems. The Farming Support Officer will demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety and a passion for farming and sustainability. This role will also provide administrative support in the development and documentation of policies and procedures that create a framework for the ongoing success of our farming and irrigation practices.

Key selection criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  • Willingness to undertake further studies in agribusiness, specifically regarding irrigation awareness.
  • Some experience in a diverse range of agricultural activities is desirable, but not essential.
  • Willingness to gain licencing or competence for a range of courses relevant to the role.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Current car drivers licence.
