About the role

The Coordinator Property Information leads the Corporation’s Property Information function, providing a welcoming, courteous, efficient and effective service enhancing the Customer’s experience with North East Water.  

This position plays a key role in providing customers and staff with accurate information and timely services whilst maintaining professional standards and the highest degree of confidentiality. A proactive and informative approach whilst displaying a strong commitment to working as part of a team and a willingness to supporting colleagues will ensure the unit objectives and targets are exceeded.

Maintaining and role modelling professional standards to the Property Information team and the broader organisation will ensure the reputation of the organisation is maintained through enhanced customer relationships and increased customer trust.

Reporting to the Manager Customer Experience, the role is responsible for the Application (Water & Sewer), Meter Fleet Management, Build Over Easement, Information Statement, Water Standpipes and As laid Plans functions and associated reporting.

Key selection criteria

To be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated people leadership skills to develop a high performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills on the phone and through written correspondence - with customers, colleagues in the Customer Service and Outdoor teams and external contractors including plumbers, builders and contractors.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or understanding of the water industry, including build over easements, information statements, water and sewer applications, meter fleet management and plumbing requirements.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues in the Customer Experience business unit and other teams in the broader organisation to progress better outcomes for customers and the business. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and progress daily tasks and longer term projects.
