Heavy rain causes sewage spill in Wodonga

North East Water is managing a sewage spill in Wodonga following heavy rain in the area.
The spill occurred at Bradford Street on 30 January 2023 following the infiltration of stormwater into the sewer network, with wastewater entering the nearby Jack-in-the-Box Creek.
Water sampling and monitoring of the creek will continue over the next few days to understand the impact to the waterway.
The Environment Protection Authority has been notified of the spill.
