Sewage spill cleaned-up at Dick Street in Wodonga

North East Water staff have cleaned up a small sewage spill caused by wet wipes that blocked a sewer main in Wodonga.
The spill occurred on Dick Street on Sunday 19 September 2021 which made its way along a road gutter to a stormwater pit near House Creek.
The blockage was rectified, with operations crews also flushing and disinfecting the spill location.
People are advised to avoid the affected area for several days, and abide by nearby barricading and signage.
Samples have been taken from House Creek and the Environment Protection Authority has been notified of the spill.
