Community forum to check progress of 8 year price plan
8 April 2021
North East Water will be hosting a deliberative forum to hear the views and opinions of customers as the Corporation reviews the future of water and sewer services across the region.
A group of 35 community members will take part in the gathering to be held in Wangaratta on Saturday 15 May 2021.
Executive Corporate Services, Anthony Hernan said the forum is effectively a check-up on the Corporation’s eight year Price Determination set in 2018.
“The Price Determination basically shows how we set our prices for water and sewer services through to 2026”, Mr Hernan said.
“We’re taking this opportunity to engage with our customers and communities on how we’re progressing against the customer commitments that we made in 2018.
“We’ll be revisiting the twelve customer outcomes that were developed as part of the Price Determination.
“Our internal results show we’re tracking above our targets in most areas, and the forum will be a great way to check with customers that we are hitting the mark in key areas.
Mr Hernan added, “We still looking for several people to join the forum to provide their insights, experiences and ideas.”
“The participants need to be aged over 18 and live in a north-east Victoria community.
“We’re using an independent company to recruit forum members and each participant will receive $100 for their time.”
People can register their interest via www.newater.com.au/ywys with registrations closing on Wednesday, 21 April 2021.
