Environmental Management System

North East Water is committed to reducing the impacts of its activities on the environment.  A key element of this commitment is our Environmental Management System (EMS - ISO 14001:2004).  The EMS enables us to assess the impacts of our activities on the environment and continually improve our performance through a process of planning, acting, checking and reviewing.  External certification of our EMS enables us to maintain our focus and our commitment.

Land Stewardship

North East Water is committed to the sustainable management of the land that we own and manage.  Our landholdings provide an important linkage between our operational requirements as land managers (why we retain the land) and our broader obligations as land managers within the community (being good neighbours). Importantly, these sites have enabled North East Water to demonstrate and share its strategic goals with the broader community.
