Community Engagement

North East Water is committed to ensuring our customers and communities and informed and involved in our wastewater and water services and planning.  Through our Community Engagement program we aim to develop a shared understanding of community needs and expectations.

The key principles of our community engagement are:

  • Inclusivesness
  • Focus
  • Responsiveness
  • Provision of information
  • Implementation and evaluation

Our community engagement provides consultation on a range of current projects. Please click here for further information.

We have ongoing community advisory committees throughout the region. These Committees have been set up to act as a liaison between North East Water and the community, providing the Corporation with community input regarding issues relevant to them and their town.

There are currently advisory committees operating in:

  • Yackandandah

North East Water also regularly utilises Project Reference Groups to liaise with the community and key stakeholders to provide the Corporation with input regarding specific projects, as they are required.  Currently we are working with a Reference Group regarding the development of the Water Plan 3 2013 - 2018 project.

Water Plan 3

The Water Plan 3 Reference Group provides feedback on issues including future capital projects, long-term reliability of supply, guaranteed service levels and customer tariff design. The group welcomes feedback and input from the broader community.
