The North East Water School Education Program
The North East Water School Education program is designed to educate students on the journey of our water from the catchment to the tap, and from the tap back into the catchment. Students and staff can explore the concepts of where our water comes from, treatment, water use, reclaimed water and water sustainability.
The North East Water education program works with a number of partners to deliver meaningful programs to meet the needs of our regional school communities. We offer a diverse range of activities, events and opportunities to get involved and learn more about water in the North East region. As a partner of the School Environment Education Directory (SEED) we have compiled curriculum units specific to our region to assist teachers and educators to implement water education into their schools.
You can contact our Education Officers at education@nerwa.vic.gov.au, or by phoning (02) 6022 0580.
