The Corporation has a seven-person skills-based Board (including the Managing Director) appointed by the Minister for Water. The members bring to the Board a strong mix of business, finance, engineering, marketing and management skills.

North East Water's Executive Management team is responsible for managing the operations of the Corporation while continuously striving to achieve the strategic direction set by the Board.
North East Water is overseen by an eight-person board of directors, including the Managing Director, who is also responsible for the overall management of the Corporation.
